How it works

Setup in seconds.

ConnectSIM ships your eSIM by email. You scan, install, and toggle on arrival. The backup data line handles the moments your primary carrier doesn't.

Step 01

Pick destination & length

Search by country and trip duration. We match you with the right plan — single-country, regional bundle, or global subscription.

Step 02

Receive your eSIM QR

Within seconds of checkout, your eSIM QR lands in your inbox. Save it to your phone before you fly.

Step 03

Scan and install

Open Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM and scan the QR. The profile installs itself and labels itself 'ConnectSIM'.

Step 04

Toggle data on arrival

When you land, switch data roaming to your ConnectSIM line. Your primary line stays active for calls and SMS.

Step 05

Backup kicks in automatically

If the primary carrier ever stalls, your 1GB monthly backup activates without any action from you.

Step 06

Cancel or extend anytime

Manage subscriptions from your dashboard. No paper contracts, no roaming surprises.

Traveler's guide

How do eSIMs work for travel?

An eSIM is a digital SIM built directly into your phone — there's no plastic card to swap. For international travel, that means you can install a local data plan before you fly and activate it the moment you land, without hunting for a SIM kiosk at the airport.

ConnectSIM sends your eSIM profile by email as a QR code. Open Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM, scan the QR once, and the carrier profile installs in seconds. Your primary SIM stays active for calls and SMS, so you keep your WhatsApp number, two-factor codes, and home phone line while data routes through ConnectSIM.

This dual-SIM setup is the core benefit of travel eSIMs: cheap, fast data abroad without losing the number your bank and contacts already know. When you get home, just disable the ConnectSIM line — or keep the global subscription running for your next trip.

Compatibility

Most phones from 2018 onward support eSIM.

iPhone XS and newer, Pixel 3 and newer, and most Samsung Galaxy S20+ devices. Dial *#06# and look for an "EID" number to confirm. If you don't see one, your device is SIM-only.
